Caregivers of the Hearts of Grace Homecare Agency Inc. render non-medical services to and coordinate care with appropriate agencies.

1. Caregivers and Clients

• The caregiver’s primary professional responsibility is to people requiring care.
• The caregiver promotes an environment in which the human rights, values, and spiritual beliefs of the client are respected.
• The caregiver ensures that the client is well informed regarding the consent of care to be provided.

2. Caregivers and Practice

• The caregiver has the personal responsibility for maintaining competence and continual learning.
• The caregiver will maintain a standard of personal health as not to compromise the care provided to the client.
• When accepting nurse delegation the caregiver must exercise judgment of his/her competence.
• Will at all times maintain a standard of personal conduct that will not tarnish the profession of care giving.

3. Caregivers and the Profession

• The caregiver will be active in developing a core of researched professional knowledge.
• The caregiver at all times will act in creating equitable social and economic working conditions for the healthcare profession.
